Sculptures of elephants will be seen at London

The 260  life-size sculptures of Indian elephants that took part in the promenade along the streets of London will brighten and beautify the city in every park, street corner and building from May to July 2010. This is known as London’s biggest outdoor art event. The parade was launched in Trafalgar Square and shows over 260 brightly elephants located over central London. Each sculpture is decorated by a different artist or celebrity. One of the most popular elephants is a white-coloured elephant beside an enormous bronze flower, also white, by the sculptor Mark Quinn, one of four elephants sponsored by the Indian private equity investor Cyrus Vandrevala and his wife, Priya.

Cyrus Vandrevala is a well-known philanthropist and has also bid £75,000 for dinner with President Gorbachev and his family at the Man Who Changed the World event, last year.
